Do I have to be with you while you are working?

It's up to you whether you would like to be present while I am working or not. People choose different options depending on their own personal preferences and situations. Some people are with me the entire time we work and I provide one-on-one support and guidance. Others choose to be on site when I am working, but may be in a different room working and will spend time with me occassionally. And others choose for me to work when they are not present. I am happy to work under any of the following situations and will make sure the arrangement is comfortable for you.

What do I need to do before you come to work with me?

There really isn't anything that you need to do in order to prepare for my visit. You may just want to think about the specific tasks that you would like to accomplish with me that day. If you are unsure of what to do, that's ok too. When I'm with you, I will help come up with a plan of action for us to work with.

What if everything becomes a mess again after you leave?

During our time together, I will give you tips and advice on how to maintain your organization. I will customize this advice to your current situation so that it will be easier to keep up. You will be able to refer back to this maintenance plan any time you find yourself slipping back into your old ways. I can also return for maintenance visits if you feel that you need my assistance to get back on track.

Are you just going to come in and throw all of my stuff away?

Being organized does not necessarily mean that you have to throw everything away. As we organize your space, we will work closely together consider if certain items are no longer needed. I will never throw anything away without your permission, so you will ultimately decide what stays and what goes.

I have some items that I don't need anymore, but I hate to throw out because they are still in good condition. If you help me, what will we do with those?

There are a couple of options in this case. You can always donate your items to local charities. Other people can make good use out of your items and I will help you find an appropriate charity to donate to. You can also sell the item. I can help you coordinate a garage sale or help you find a local merchant who will purchase your item. Or if you can't part with the item, I can help you find a suitable storage location.

Do you have any privacy or confidentiality policies?

I work in absolute confidence. I will never share any information about you or my work with you unless you have granted me permission to disclose certain information.
